Long Road Trip, Never doing it again

Well yesterday we drove one hour to my BIL's house from there we drove another hour and 15 minutes to 1 30 minutes away to a birthday party at a friends. It was my husband and kids in my car plus me and my sobrinos, we followed my BIL his wife and their baby. We were on Route 2 in Massachusetts for what seemed like FOREVER AND A DAY before we reached our end point which is a little city called Fitchburg which is in the middle of no where I think. I told Hubby it felt like I was driving in MAINE with farmlands all over the sides of the highway. I thought it was going to be a quick drive, so did he, we were wrong and don't plan to drive there again, we'll see our friends and their son when they come into our neck of the woods.....We seriously went through or by like 20 towns. It might have been quicker if we went from my parents than if we had gone from where we did. On the way bac to BIL's house it was me, my SIL (who doesn't speak ANY ENGLISH) and the 5 kids, my husband and BIL were in the other car. My husband drove because BIL was drunk, he took 2 wrong turns and we were back to the house before them...I pointed out the first mistake and he missed the highway exit we needed to take the second time, but I called him and told him what exit to take off that highway and he'd be in the right town and know where to go after that. Like I said Not planning that trip again ANYTIME in the near futre or far future.

Small Road Trip

Well, we drove an hour tonight after downpours all day to pick up daddy at his brothers. My boys got to see their tios(aunt&uncle in spanish) and their primos (cousins). Juan spent the whole 3 hours we were visiting running around the apartment with his primos Gavino, and Diana while Mateo took turns with his primo Andres in the walker, they are 3 weeks apart, Andres being the oldest of the two. My sobrino (nephew) Andres has this really wild hair that is everywhere just like Juan jr did when he was an infant. The kids all get along good together even the babies but they dont know any better anyhow. My brother in law Gavino and his wife Cecilia are Juan jr's Parinos (god parents) and they slipped him a twenty while we were there and his Padrino Gavino told him to spend it on dulces (candy) Great hyper active 3 year old when we finally go to the store. Just kidding Ill let him get one candy and one toy with it and the rest will go into his Dinosaur Bank. Mateo was slipped a ten and 3 ones, that will go directly into his teddy bear bank since he's only a baby and won't know what to get with it......But that was a round up of today, will try to post another with pictures tomorrow.

Father's Day Gift finally done

Well, as we all know Fathers Day was the 15th, my sister picked up a T-shirt for Juan from the boys for Fathers Day, but she didn't get it to him or I before the day came so unfortunately I didn't get to put the boys handprints on it before he was given the shirt, so we finally got the boys all dirty and are ready to give "Papi" the finished version this weekend. The red is Mateo, you can tell because he was very impatient with his first hand, and thegreen well obviously it's Juan Jr's . Besides that we haven't done anyhting in particular today. At 4 we went into Walmart to get my sister from her job, both boys left with a new toy. Juan Pablo is obsessed with anything that flies (airplanes, jets, choppers..mainly) so he got an airplane and Mateo as an infant he is easy, he got a "keyring" toy with colorful little shapes hanging off and it's handle was shaped like a monkey.
Later we went to my foster sisters house and Juan spent his time running around like crazy with my sisters nephew, when they get together forget it, I don't see much of him except when I check on him in her backyard (thank god for fences).....
In other glum news, I was supposed to babysit my cousins little ones for her brothers wedding, but she had arranged for another sitter just in case, and that sitter got back to her first. Well we were talking and she saw recent pics of my boys, and it upset her to see how big Mateo got. Her daughter Caoimhe, (pronounced Keeva) would have just turned 6 months on the 13th, but she grew wings at 16 days old, due to complications of RSV. So when she saw the pic and realized how big her daughter would be getting it upset her, she was crying on the phone talking to me...Which in turn made me cry. But we were both ok before we hung up.
Mr. Mateo has been a little wild today, I let him feed himself TUBS of babyfood today, this was the first time he fed himself anything that wasn't finger foods (ones actually meant for toddlers) he wore it, his high chair table top wore it, somehow he even managed to get it on his feet. He loved it and the mess, it was blueberry, pear and oats, it was a little thick because it was 2nd foods. He was adorable even though he was all messy, I just wished I had taken apicture of him with my digital camera or even my cell phone, and was able to put that on here....Maybe the next time......Well until the next ime, see you later.

Nothing Special

Hello, this is my first blog but it's nothing important. I will basically post blogs to rant and rave about things in my life and of course the things my kids do. I love them both dearly, I am very greatful to have two boys, girls would have been a problem for me, I know how I was growing up and I don't ever want to see it repeated in a daughter of mine, so I guess it was a good thing I got boys. My oldest son Juan Pablo likes to tell "Stories" whether real or not and if he gets going forget it, he'll never stop. Mateo on the other hand I don't have to worry yet all he ever says is ma ma ma ma ma or da da da da da or mum mum mum...Nothing big with him yet and if I am not mistaken he tries to say his brtohers name too...When Juan jr is bad I tend to scream Juan Pablo at him and Mateo says what sounds like PaLo at times he only misses out on the B.....Which is fine, the two most important things to say he does at his age. My daily life consists of seeing and dealing with my boys. In the afternoons I transform into a taxi because my 29 year old sister hasn't got a license yet....So I get to bring her home from her job, mind you I drive 10 minutes to her work and 15 minutes to her house so by the time I get home it's been a little bit over an hour ride......My kids are easy, Mateo isn't into anyhting special yet, but once he's on the floors he's gone and Im constantly chasing him. Juan Jr he likes to watch certain cartoons but loves to be outside playing with his WOLF dog Luna or riding his bikes/rideons he's got like 10 of them, maybe a little less. They both also like to go in the pool in the hot weather fortunately we live in New England so it's not an everyday/year round thing. My husband is a workaholic, he spends his weeks Monday through Saturday at his landscaping job(really good at it and into it) On Saturdays afternoons after working all day and on Sundays he's hard at work making our yard look nice(Well my parents yard in New Hampshire). He likes to sing with Mexican music and he's actually got a really good voice to do it with. I am american and he is mexican. We have been together for 6 years and married for 4 come December. That's it for now, a little background on me and the Family.
