Mateo went in to have his Tongue Tie Release Surgery this morning. We were supposed to be there at 630A but didn't get into MGH til 7AM.
All went well, he went in got checked in, waited in OR Induction Room, then into OR for the Surgery, he went to recovery and thats where it all started.
In Recovery his little cheeks were red, we assumed due to his slight congestion before surgery. Well we got released and returned home about 11 AM. At 4 pm We noticed that his WHOLE face was red not just his CHEEKS. So we watched hm for a little longer. When after a few minutes we noticed he was struggling to breath, and what not. Off Juan and I went with Mateo, to the Local ER, LGH.
When we got to LGH I told the receptionist that I thought he was having an allergic reaction to either the anesthesia or the tylenol w/ codeiene he had received when in Boston Earlier that morning for surgery.
Well He got a nice shot of non-oral benedryl, right into his leg. BY THIS TIME<>

Is he Ok now?????
Yes, He was better the same night, he just won't be able to have the same knock out formula if he needs any type of surgery again. They gave me the names of three things he had been given and all are listed as an allergy right now, they will test later.
